The 10 Days of Good Beginnings Christmas

On the ____ day of Christmas Nanny gave to me.....

10     Waller's in the Holler

9       Nine Lucy Goosie's

8       Big Dog Luciens

7       Lucas Gucas

6       Hubba Bubba's

5       Liza Beans

4       Nater Nutes

3       Kooie Ooey's

2       Jordy Dordies

1       And Nanny said to get out of the tree.

The kids all helped with this using either funny names or nicknames for them unless they didn't want their name or nickname in it.

The Good Beginnings Gang

The Good Beginnings Gang, a very special bunch!
Always using manners, at breakfast, snacks, and lunch!

They love to play around, then learn, and take a rest.
The next day they start over, giving life their very best.

They all have funny nicknames, they sometimes answer to.
You are just about to meet them, a special treat for you.

Clay Dog, and the Meister, they were here from the start.
Nat Nat also came by, but she had to depart.

Next we have the Chaz Man, he loves to clown around.
Then we see Camy Claus, who likes to run the town.

J-Man he is here, with trains he likes to play.
Kare Bear is another, she reads, and writes each day.

Monkey Toes comes over, she always will help out.
The Moose is on the loose, here, there, and about.

Car Car with her red hair, she’s stubborn as can be.
Lukman laughs, and giggles, oh what a site to see.

Waller Girl will be here, she always loves to sing.
Bubba Girl you’ll notice, getting in to everything.

Nanny is the one who keeps it all together.
She will always be here, in any kind of weather.

Then there is old Tis, he comes by now and then.
He’ll play with the gang, you just never know when.

Goober sometimes visits, at the end of the day.
By then they are wore out, from learning and from play.

So if you ever meet them, I say you will be blessed.
The Good Beginnings Gang, I think they are the best!

The Good Beginnings Gang is Back

The Good Beginnings Gang, Oh look they are back!

Having fun again, taking up the boring slack.

Outside they like to play, louder than a mouse.

On the deck of this; the Good Beginnings house.

Clay Dog and E-Man, race round and all round.

Using the three wheel toys, each of them have found.

It starts off just for fun, but then competition shows its face.

Faster and faster they go, each picking up the pace.

They bang and crash thru everything, the winner they should be.

They bump into each other, they said they didn’t see.

The others run and scatter the clash it has begun.

They both want to say, the race they had won.

Anger rises in them they give each other a glare.

I should be the winner, it really isn’t fair.

Nanny has to step in, and says neither of you win.

No one is the champion, if you can not still be friends.

Clay Dog and E-Man say their sorry and shake hands.

All is well and good now, in Good Beginnings Land.

The Good Beginnings Band

Here we are again in the Good Beginnings land.

Listening to a concert by the Good Beginnings Band!

Kare Bear on the keyboard, Chaz Man on the drum;

J-Man plays guitar, oh just listen to him strum!

Waller Girl has a tambourine that she likes to shake!

Bubba Girl loves to listen, while trying to stay awake!

Camy Clause is lead singer, belting out a child’s tune.

Just listen to the music, filling up this whole room!

To some it may sound like, the ocean rushing in.

Listen with your heart, and the music will begin.

The song is not top forty it will never top the charts.

But to all of us, it’s number one in our hearts!

You won’t here them on the radio playing on the air.

Won’t see them on TV with wild and wacky hair!

They don’t have a CD coming out in the spring.

No posters or t-shirts or that sort of thing.

Scalpers won’t sell tickets at an inflated price.

No traffic jams to fight, which is really nice.

There is only one way, to see this star studded band.

You have to come to visit, The Good Beginnings Land!

The Good Beginnings Babies

In Good Beginnings Land,

There is a time for great joy!

Four new faces now to see,

Three little girls and one a boy;

The Nater joined us all,

With a smile from ear to ear;

He will surely keep you busy,

The whole time he is here.

Koo Koo came here too,

With a smile to melt your heart;

You ask me if she is ornery.

Oh my! Where do I start?

Then there’s Liza Lou,

Who started off real slow.

Now she really goes full steam,

You should watch and see her go.

Jordy has also joined us,

She is just busy as a Bee.

Her sitting quiet and still,

Is not something you will see.

A big welcome to this quartet!

Lets all give them a big hand.

Four more precious little Angels,

Here in Good Beginnings Land.

The Good Beginnings Graduation

On a beautiful Saturday in May,

It’s time for a wonderful celebration.

A day of tears and joy,

It’s the Good Beginning’s Graduation.

The families come from near and far,

To view this great and joyous display.

To honor three special little ones,

On this their Graduation Day!

Everyone will take their seats,

They’ve come with love in their hearts.

Then the three take the stage,

It is now time to start.

As everyone joins them on the stage,

Singing songs that make us glad,

Each one sung with joy and pride,

Special for their Mom and Dad.

Then they move down the isle,

With a smile on each face.

Walking calmy for all to see,

Keeping with the special pace.

Each one receives their diploma,

Then in front of all they stand.

Care Bear, Camy Claus, and J-Man,

Graduates of Good Beginning’s Land.

The Good Beginnings Campout

The end of the week is here,

All the gang is running about.

A beautiful Friday night in June,

Time for the Good Beginnings Campout!

Everyone brings their sleeping bags,

A pillow and their P.J.s

Ready for a game of Hide and Seek,

When we no longer have light from day.

We play till the sky rows dim,

Then it’s Smores for a little snack.

Then to potty and wash our hands,

To give those germs a real good smack.

Up goes the brand new tent,

Then our things are put inside.

We all find a comfortable spot,

We are getting ready to sleep outside.

Fire Flies are in the air,

With lighting across the sky;

The thunder roars from east to west,

So some begin to cry!

One by one they are carried inside,

To keep us from getting wet,

Nanny opens up the door,

It hasn’t started raining yet.

We get inside just in time,

Then it rains to beat the band.

But all of us are dry and safe,

At rest in Good Beginnings Land.

A Good Beginnings Birthday

Another very special time,

In Good Beginnings Land;

Koo Koo has a birthday,

Lets all give her a big hand.

Such a very special day,

She is now one year old.

Such a precious little princess,

We all love to hug and hold.

It seems like only yesterday,

She couldn’t even crawl.

No sitting up to play,

Not walking straight and tall.

Now today she does it all,

Don’t try and slow her pace.

She thinks she is a big girl;

Look at the smile on her face.

A tiny little precious one,

Full of happiness and love;

Truly she is a blessing,

From heaven up above.

So Happy Birthday to the Koo Koo,

Let us strike up the Good Beginnings band.

We will sing the Happy Birthday song,

All over the Good Beginnings Land.

Another Good Beginnings Birthday

In Good Beginnings Land,

Another special day is here.

Jordy has turned one;

Let us all stand up and Cheer.

It is hard for us to believe;

She has been around that long.

Yet here we are singing to her.

The happy birthday song!

She has such a cute little smile.

She has a sweet way of talk.

She has mastered well crawling,

Next up for her is to walk.

She will give you a little hug,

She may even stop to give a kiss.

Yet she won’t stay there long,

There is playing she might miss.

She will stop to eat some food,

Give her something to drink.

When she is done at the table,

She will give you her cute wink,

We all love our little Jordy,

We hope her birthday will be grand

Because she is one of our treasures,

Here in Good Beginnings Land.

A Good Beginnings Welcome

A special announcement to everyone,

Let’s all cheer and raise a hand.

A new member to our family,

Here in Good Beginnings Land.

We spruce up the place just right,

Make everything look real snazzy.

Who is it? You might ask.

Well, we all call her Jazzy.

She smiles from ear to ear.

Always read to give a hug,

Her energy is so contagious,

Like a little Jazzy flu bug.

When it is time for music,

She loves to dance and sing.

Yet she’d rather play out side,

Just watch her run and swing.

She slows down to eat a bite,

Lays down to take a rest.

Then she is up and at it again,

Giving the day her very best.

When you see our special friend,

There is one thing we demand.

Give her a smile and a welcome,

To Good Beginnings Land.

Another Good Beginnings First

Here we are again,

Your attention we demand.

Another child’s first birthday,

Here in Good Beginning’s Land.

She is fastened to our hearts,

Using loves special bonding glue.

Who is it you might ask?

Why it is our little Liza Lou.

She has changed ever so much,

In what seems like just a little while.

Yet some things never change,

Like her precious little smile.

Our soul aches when she’s not here,

We are in such a firm stronghold.

Serving time in her hearts prison,

With no possibility of parole

Today we are going to celebrate,

Let us surround her with our love.

We will sing the Happy Birthday song,

And release the birthday dove.

We will all have lots of fun,

If we could we’d do a handstand.

Sending her hugs and kisses,

Here in Good Beginnings Land.

A Birthday Boy in Good Beginnings Land

Here in Good Beginnings Land,

There is one thing we enjoy.

Oh yes! It is a birthday.

This time it’s for a boy.

The Nater turns one today,

Just see how he has grown.

He is special in our eyes,

Yet were glad there is no clone.

He is happy all day long,

With a smile to melt your heart,

But if you take his food,

His stare will take you apart.

He will stop for a little nap,

But would rather play and crawl.

He pulls up to the front window,

Looking out and standing tall.

He has grown in his first year.

He has changed in many ways.

It won’t be long until he walks,

Then we’ll all kneel down and pray.

So we will sing Happy Birthday,

Cheer and together clap our hands.

A special day for you the Nater,

Here in Good Beginning’s Land.
